I went on a photography trip with three other ladies through Tennessee, West Virginia and Virginia in 2011. One of the ladies, Shannon, wanted to find a tree on a hillside with a nice, sky-filled background. We looked and looked for the perfect tree. We'd find one and pull over. "Nope! That's not it!" and we'd keep going. Finally on the third day of our five day trip, we took a "detour" on the way to our next stop and there it was - Shannon's tree. Our driver, Judy, pulled the van over and we all went to shooting. It was worth the wait and it will always be Shannon's perfect tree to me.
